Villa Schinosa’s San Valentino Rosso Puglia IGP is an excellent wine that expresses the uniqueness of an extraordinary blend of Nero di Troia, Merlot, and Syrah. This wine, characterized by the floral notes of violet from the Nero di Troia grape which intertwine perfectly with the vegetal notes of the Merlot, creates a unique and highly captivating olfactory profile, foreshadowing an elegant and harmonious structure supported by refined and appealing tannins. San Valentino represents a testament to Villa Schinosa’s winemaking mastery, with a maturation of 24 months in French oak tonneaux followed by further refinement in the bottle. In a perfect balance between alcohol content, tannins, acidity, and residual sugars, this wine is ideal for accompanying intense dishes such as grilled meats, game, and aged cheeses, offering an unforgettable tasting experience.

50% Nero di Troia, 35% Merlot, 15% Syrah
Selection of Nero di Troia grapes cultivated at folio 55 plot 17, Merlot grapes cultivated at folio 55 plot 11, and Syrah grapes cultivated at folio 57 plot 39, in the municipality of Trani. Vines trained using spurred cordon on rich, clayey soil with a density of 4500 plants per hectare.
Frequent pump-overs with air for oxygenation and fermentation at a temperature of 22-25°C. Maceration takes place over a period of 10 days.
Aged for 24 months in 500L French oak tonneaux of medium toast. Subsequent refinement in the bottle for a period of 12 months.
