Villa Schinosa’s Chardonnay Bianco Puglia IGP is a bright and vibrant expression of Apulian winemaking art, capturing the essence of the unique terroir of Contrada Schinosa. With its straw-yellow color enriched by golden hues, this wine immediately evokes freshness and vitality.

VINEYARDS

Trellis with spurred cordon on tufa-limestone soils with a density of 4500 plants per hectare.

VINIFICATION

The harvest takes place in mid-August. A brief maceration of the crushed grapes at low temperatures below 10°C precedes a soft pressing of the skins, and the must is clarified through simple static settling. A portion of the must continues its fermentation in barrique. Once fermentation is complete, the two differently fermented musts are blended together.

MATURATION

In stainless steel tanks. Subsequent refinement in the bottle for a period of 30 days.

TASTING NOTES

Straw-yellow color with bright golden hues; the aroma recalls orange blossoms and the fruity notes from fermentation. The taste is rightly tangy but balanced, entirely focused on freshness and fullness on the palate.

FOOD PAIRINGS

Seafood appetizers, fish-based dishes, and fresh cheeses. It should be served decidedly chilled, at around 10-12°C (50-54°F).
